Fabrics and Materials
At Alexander Night, every garment is crafted with the finest 100% certified organic materials. We prioritise full transparency, each product page lists the fabric type, composition, and origin.
From certified organic Aegean and Pima cotton to our custom-woven shibari rope and organic cotton thread, all materials are sourced through ethical supply chains. Our fabric partners are pioneers in sustainability, deeply involved in setting and upholding global certification standards.
We also use responsibly sourced wool from certified organic farms, where high animal welfare and low-impact land management are prioritised. Wool is a natural, renewable, and biodegradable fibre that offers durability, breathability, and warmth, making it a sustainable choice that performs exceptionally over time.
Our commitment to conscious craftsmanship extends to every detail, including buttons made from Corozo, Mother of Pearl, Wood, and Coconut, and labels woven from certified organic cotton. Every Alexander Night piece is a reflection of ethical integrity.
Our silk is made from wild silk moths that are bred, but not killed. The silk moth is allowed to go through metamorphosis and transform before their cocoon is carefully harvested. This method ensures that no animals or ecosystems are harmed in the process, while still allowing us to use one of the oldest and most exquisite fabrics in history.
Waste and Standards
At Alexander Night, we are committed to our core values and mission of sustainability. We constantly strive to find new ways to reduce our impact on the planet.
Our clothing is made exclusively from certified organic cotton and other compostable materials. These fabrics, unlike synthetic ones such as polyester, will naturally return to the earth in the right environment. This ensures that our products are not only stylish but also environmentally conscious.
We take great care during the sampling and production process to save all off-cuts where possible. This allows us to repurpose them into accessories or create unique, one-of-a-kind garments.
A significant amount of waste comes from shipping and packaging. We use FSC-certified recycled and recyclable or reusable cardboard for all of our boxes and thank you cards. This helps us reduce our carbon footprint while delivering your purchases in an eco-friendly way.
